This paper explores the concept and implementation of blockchain-based digital identity management systems (IDMS). In an increasingly digitalized world, the need for secure and efficient identity verification and management has become paramount. Traditional IDMS often suffer from issues such as data breaches, identity theft, and lack of privacy control. Blockchain technology, with its decentralized and immutable nature, offers a promising solution to these challenges. This study delves into the fundamentals of blockchain and its application in digital identity management. It analyzes the various features, including enhanced security, transparency, and user autonomy, that blockchain brings to the table. Furthermore, the paper evaluates the current state of blockchain-based IDMS, highlighting their adoption across different sectors.
