Abstract

This paper explores the role of blockchain technology in enhancing supply chain traceability and transparency. Supply chains are complex networks that involve multiple stakeholders, and ensuring the integrity and accountability of these chains is crucial for various industries. Blockchain, with its immutable ledger, decentralized nature, and cryptographic security, offers a promising solution to address the challenges associated with supply chain management. The abstract discusses the current state of supply chain traceability, the limitations of traditional methods, and how blockchain can revolutionize the way products are tracked and verified. It examines various applications of blockchain in the supply chain, including product provenance, authentication, and fraud prevention. The paper also addresses the potential benefits of blockchain-based solutions in terms of reducing costs, improving customer satisfaction, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Furthermore, it acknowledges the existing challenges and limitations of blockchain technology, such as scalability, interoperability, and regulatory frameworks, and suggests potential solutions to overcome these barriers.
